Vendors Open to the Public On Friday

TIS is pleased announce the vendors’ area will be open to the public from approximately 2p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, with all vendors present. There is a $5 fee to visit the vendors’ large display area, payable at our convention registration desk for those not attending the convention.  Registered convention attendees will have other opportunities as well over the weekend for visiting the vendors’ room.  An unprecedented number of the East Coast’s premiere nautical memorabilia dealers are present this year- an opportunity no collector should miss!

Deadline Extended!

Titanic International Society convention registration deadline has now been extended to Tuesday, April 29. This applies to convention registration AND hotel reservations.

 
NOTE: If you have been having problems getting the “800″ line operators to give you the TIS convention rate, call the hotel’s own direct reservation number, (201) 210-7103, and ask for Annia.
Mr. Richard Faber will be joining the roster of distinguished memorabilia dealers in the vendor’s salon.

David Hume presents on Nomadic Saturday Evening

David Hume, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the World Ship Society, Port of New York Branch will present a power point presentation on the restoration of the Nomadic after the Saturday night banquet. Mr, Hume will also be displaying items for sale in the vendors’ space.

Principal Lots to Include: The complete collection of titanic memorabilia of the last American Titanic survivor Lillian Asplund. This recently discovered unpublished archive reveals some of the most significant material relating to the disaster ever offered at auction. It comprises of paperwork and belongings recovered from the body of Carl Asplund, items from the aftermath of the sinking, photographs, legal correspondence and other family possessions. Letters and onboard Material from Titanic’s Printer Abraham Mishellany, Henry Wilde, Francis Millet, William Cherrett and Albert Crisp. A good collection of period Titanic postcards including a number of extremely rare examples. A signed photograph of the Carpathia’s Officers from the personal collection of Herbert Pitman. A unique account of the Titanic’s encounter with the Adriatic Mid Atlantic on April 11th. Two very rare menus from H.M.H.S. Britannic dated 25th and 26th September 1916. China, Plated Wares and Ephemera from the White Star Line. Over 360 lots of Titanic, White Star and Ocean Liner Collectables.
